Maude’s and Au Cheval got together last Sunday for a staff meal of intense Southern cooking: Fried chicken, slaw, biscuits, deviled eggs, watermellon and more were heaped onto plates. Leaving no stone unturned, the beverages were also equally fitting: Grape soda, Tang, Capri Sun. The only slight geographic deviation was a welcome bit of French rose wine.
